Christmas Show: The Miracle Plays of Olde Englande

The Middle Ages saw the birth of popular drama in Europe which brought the great Biblical stories vividly to life. These plays are still performed every year in English cities such as York and Chester, inspiring and delighting audiences with their simple piety and down to earth humour.

The Miracle Plays presents the most popular of these plays, Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark and the Nativity, for the first time ever in Singapore, adapted to modern English and with the addition of a musical score comprising sacred songs of all kinds and periods. This colourful show, with a large cast and choir, will appeal to all who wish to celebrate Christmas the traditional way.
